Reality Check

My friend Bob Moawad once had someone approach him at the end of a seminar he was teaching and say: 

"If you expect me to look at the problems in my life as opportunities to grow and change, then I want you to know I am facing some darn near insurmountable opportunities!" 

It's so easy to become focused on the immediate challenges we face each day and lose perspective on how our circumstances compare with other peoples around the world. 

Many times, a quick "reality check" is all we need to realize once again that there are always people in more difficult situations than ourselves. Many of these have risen to the challenge and used their "problems" to catapult them to new levels of personal growth and achievement in their lives. 

Explore these links for your own "reality check" and then sit back and re-examine your life from a fresh perspective. If you still feel your life is just too hard, watch the movie "Braveheart." After I watch that movie, all my problems suddenly disappear.
