Part 1 Tell her I love her?
They say it's always darkest before the dawn.
The rain didn't stop. It dripped. It drizzled. It blew. It poured. It just didn't stop. For 94 days straight.
It was the rainiest winter in Seattle history.
Listening to the weather through the ceiling of an empty warehouse, he sat at a computer endlessly sorting through a pile of bugs hoping to find a clue that would change his future.
Building the member's area of 'Alightintheattic' in futility for the last year had tested his resolve more than once. Feeling frustrated, alone in his vision and clueless, he stumbled on a reference in an obscure corner of an addendum in a ten volume Java Script CD.
Little did he realize that the dripping, the bugs, the constant frustration, and the software dead ends had lead him directly to a gold mine that would change his life - forever.
The dripping outside kept time with his heart's prayer - pleading for a partner and soul mate ....a godly woman whose life reflects the heart of Christ. A woman whose voice worships with the Angels and celebrates the kind of courage and passion that silent heroes are made from.
The Java Script was a dead end, as was the development platform. In the frustration and defeat of trashing yet another four months work, his discouragement got the better part of him.
In time, he would discover that the source code he studied was at the heart of a web site - and that it wasn't co-incidence his Angel had just posted her dreams on www.love@1st-site.com
The dripping had stopped. In the darkness he had found a glimmer of hope.
It would be a long shot. I knew what I had to say. I had but one chance to catch her attention and I needed to touch the truth. My heart cried out for wisdom as my fingers hesitated - poised a mere inch above the Enter key and a moment from my destiny.
Subject: "Tell her I love her?"
I closed my eyes, opened my heart and tapped the key.
Three years later I sit here with the Angel, Angelina to be exact, beside me.
It's a true love story. And that's how it all began.
To be continued...
Part 2 When you least expect it...take the risk and receive the miracle.
Another goodnight kiss for her kids. They fade into their journey of life's dreams as their mother's voice sings them to sleep again. She turns the monitor as to dim the bright glare and goes to work on moving her own dreams forward, on a borrowed computer, on borrowed time.
The balcony door is open, crickets join in a chorus as a cool Texas breeze fills the room. Sitting in this half-silence she reflects on her long day of helping her clients move themselves a bit closer to their dreams coming true.
"My turn...", she sighs to herself, taking a sip of her whipped cafe mocha, a treat for the evening.
Torn between working on her own life changing projects she escapes for a few moments in the answering some of her email.
"A few emails won't do any harm...just until the wash needs to be put in the dryer...then back to focusing on my dreams", she encourages herself.
Opening her email she reads an unusual entry..."and who is this from?...hmmm...yeah...I must not be reading this right", she whispers, as not wake up her 2 sleeping children in their bunk beds behind her.
Once again she reads the subject line to herself, "Tell her I love her?"
"You've got to be kidding. What kind of person tosses such words without considering the responsibility behind them?", she pondered.
Sipping cafe drink, she closes her eyes and the words genius and madman come to mind. Little did she know that the man behind those words was answering a lifetime prayer she had held close to her heart since she was a child. A nudge filled her spirit as not to delete the email that stared boldly before her.
For about a week she go back to that though it kept coming to mind to answer. She wasn't quite sure how to respond.
One day as she was leaving a client after a consulting session about life and change. She made a decision to answer that email just to resolve her curiosity and follow her own advice to others.
She had been praying for a godly gentleman for as long as she could remember. That he have the awareness and intense desire of how to serve God with his talents and live anything but a regular life . Fulfill that mission that was planted in his life, harvesting the dreams that he was given and be remembered through touching the lives of many near and far.
He would love her for who she was, embrace the vision she had been given, and passionately the two would together to exponentially encourage and restore hope in the lives of others, ignite souls, and pass on the passion that dreams can come true through contemplated change and action.
It's now over a week. I finally decided to 'reply' to this 'Tell her I love her?' email. I figured this man must be have been extremely inspired to be this brave or really needs help. I choose to believe that he is a genius who pick the perfect line for this genius to finally respond to.
After intense questioning of each other, 500 emails later, Daniel and I spoke, and then meet. I moved from Texas to Washington to start a new life two months later.
We had fallen in love with each other from the roots of our innermost being, from the inside out. From our hearts, soul, and mind first.
Both of our prayers of finding that soul mate and partner for life has been tried, tested, and answered.
Three years later we are back in Texas. Together we have invented technology to facilitate and assist our clients with changed thinking. Our technology within our company has become another agent for change. Another platform in addition to my music, our individual and couple testimonies, and those others means we choose to extend our hope into the lives of others.
